Joseph Flach & Sons Ltd goes from strength to strength.
Joseph Flach & Sons Ltd (JFS) has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1882 when Joseph Flach came to London from Germany to set up as an international botanicals merchant
The business survived both World Wars and countless recessions, including a warehouse fire during the London blitz The business remained in the Flach family until 2015 when it was acquired by Anthony Benton. Since then our mission has been to retain the traditional values of service, quality and integrity whist scaling the business, investing in systems, stock, property and people to ensure we can continue to service our long standing customer base who rely on us for their botanical ingredients, some of whom have been with us for three quarters of a century.
In 2017 we had to move from the 3,000sqft warehouse we inherited into a 10,000 sqft unit across the road. We outgrew this in 2021, survived the pandemic without losing a day’s work and then moved into a 20,000sqft warehouse in early 2022. By 2023 we had begun to also utilise external BRC accredited deep storage for bulk-stock and we are now looking to add an addition 10,000sqft of operational warehouse to our main unit. In people terms we have grown from 5 staff to 22 and our aim is to provide well paid meaningful employment for as many team members as we can support.
We continue to attract new customers from the UK and from around the world. Our now significant stock storage capacity and our well established and robust supply chain built on decades of trade allows us offer reliable, high value service to our clients.
One of our latest projects is a relaunch of our website which will be live in a few months time, and this month the team had some photographs taken to go on the site.
